The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, as part of the Mississippi Bicentennial Celebrations, is working with Blue Magnolia Films to offer a free photo storytelling workshop. The workshop is open to adults age 18 and above. All equipment, meals and training is provided.
All costs for this project are covered – we just need people to represent our communities and tell stories. Our goal is to find “bright spots” that highlight what Mississippians value from those who are preserving traditions, revitalizing communities, creating businesses or fulfilling the promise of the future.
The workshop is a week long program with classes the first two day and then participants in their communities taking pictures culminating in a screening on Sunday.
