Southside Gallery is located in Oxford, Mississippi. The gallery features work by regional, national and international artists. The gallery also hosts a lecture series and receptions.
The University Museum is open to the public 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The museum is closed on Monday and regular university holidays. Admission is free and parking is available behind the museum. The public is invited to attend all exhibition openings and Brown Bag lecture series. Guided tours are available upon request and group tours are welcome with advance notice. For guided tours of Rowan Oak, call 662-234-3284. For guided tours of the Walton-Young House, call 662-915-7205. Allow an hour for each building tour. Allow a half-hour to walk the Bailey’s Woods trail between Rowan Oak and the Museum.
Gallery 130 is the University of Mississippi Department of Art’s gallery located in Meek Hall 130. Each year the gallery features exhibitions by our undergraduate and graduate students. The SAA Holiday Art Sale and an annual juried student summer show are also shown here. In addition, Gallery 130 hosts exhibitions by visiting professional artists. It is open to the public Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.
Oxford Treehouse Gallery is located at 328 County Road 418, and is now showing 16 regional artists with various works of art ranging from paintings, block-prints, ceramics, hand-forged metal work, hand-crafted jewelry, sculpture, weavings, and turned wood vessels. North Light Gallery at The Orchard is located at 295 Highway 7 North, and it is a community gallery space dedicated to showcasing the work of local and regional artists.
