Servant leaders provide a host of benefits to the individuals and organizations they serve. Followers of servant leaders enjoy better work life balance, improved individual and team performance, and more positive organizational climates and working environments, among a many other benefits. In response, a growing host of companies are searching for a way to increase servant leadership among their workforce. While many servant leader consulting and training programs exist, our scientifically validated program promises concrete improvements in leadership excellence. This program employs cutting edge interdisciplinary techniques in psychology and business research to develop leaders for the future.

Our session focuses on aspects of self as they relate to servant leadership. We provide participants an opportunity for self-discovery and introspection as a foundation for creating a course of action for development as a servant leader. This program involves three parts.

  1. Part 1: A video introduction and self-knowledge exercise employing scientific assessments of participants’ personality, preparedness, and other leadership-related ideas.

  2. Part 2: A video introduction to servant leadership and an introspection exercise identifying strengths, barriers, and obstacles they bring to the practice of servant leadership.

Both of these “homework” assignments can be completed at your convenience or as part of an in-person workshop. We will send personalized Qualtrics links on Thursday, March 24th. Plan on ~75 minutes total for both parts, and you do not have to complete it all at one time. Please complete this by Monday, March 28th Noon.

  1. Zoom Debrief, Coaching, and Group Discussion: The workshop culminates in an interactive discussion drawing from our research experience to integrate individual feedback assessments and introspection with a deeper understanding of servant leadership to identify a course of action for personal leadership development - Tuesday, March 29th 5:30-7:00 pm

Participants can expect to leave with a sense of a few critical areas for self-improvement with respect to growing as a servant leader. We provide feedback reports, including survey instrument scores.
