This demonstration will provide an introduction to the unique art and horticulture of bonsai. During the bonsai styling demo you will be able to participate in an interactive Q+A to learn the nuances of bonsai appreciate, cultivation, and creation. We will cover the basics of repotting, styling, and tree care that will be featured in–depth during the full session, small-group workshops.

There will be a tree raffle at the conclusion of the meeting for all attendees. Additionally, attendees that sign up for the full workshop will receive a voucher for the cost of the demo that can be used towards the workshop registration fee.

This demo class is open and applicable to those who've attended previous classes and new students!

Price: $15 per person

About the Instructor: 

Zach Adamz is owner and executive artist at Komorebi Bonsai. He has studied bonsai with artists across the United States and around the world for over a decade. In 2019 he studied at the National Bonsai Museum in Seoul, South Korea, where he qualified as a bonsai master, and soon after returning established Komorebi Bonsai. Since locating to Oxford a few years ago, Zach has integrated bonsai into his new home, establishing the Magnolia State Bonsai Club (MSBC) in 2023.His aesthetic inspiration for bonsai comes from growing up in the east Tennessee woodlands of Appalachia, and his subject matter highlights native species of the American South.
