10-Minute Play Contest — Submit your Scripts
You have 10 minutes to tell a story. What will it be?
TO’s annual 10-Minute Play Contest seeks original short plays from writers worldwide. The LW Thomas Grand Prize winner receives $1,000 and a production in arts-loving Oxford, Mississippi. Second and third place winners also receive cash awards, and all finalists are considered for production in our annual 10-Minute Play Festival.

Deadline: September 15, 2026.
Entry fee: $12 per play (submit each play separately). After payment, you’ll see the submission form and an upload field for your script.
File types: .docx or .pdf.

2nd Place: $250
3rd Place: $100
Eligibility & Requirements
Must be original and never previously produced.
Script length: maximum 10 pages (excluding title and cast pages).
Cast: 2–4 characters.
Production needs: minimal props and costumes.
Submission Instructions
Complete the online entry form.
Insert page numbes.
Remove all author-identifying information from the script (title page, headers, footers, and properties).
Upload your manuscript as a .docx or .pdf.

Confirmation & Notification
You will receive an automated confirmation by email—please allow up to 24 business hours. Check spam/junk folders. If you haven't received confirmation after 24 business hours, contact the contest manager.
Final winners will be notified by December 31, 2026. All submissions are judged anonymously over multiple rounds by several reviewers; every entrant will be notified of the final results.
